Greek Yogurt Breakfast Bowl Recipe

When you're in a rush in the morning, a quick breakfast is what you need. One of my go-to, quick breakfasts is a Greek yogurt breakfast bowl. It is so simple and fast to make and you can mix it up depending what you have in the fridge.

Plain Greek yogurt, blueberries, chia seeds, bran buds.

My Greek yogurt bowls always have Greek yogurt, a fruit, and a "crunch".

  • Crunch = cheerios, granola, bran buds, etc.

I always switch up the fruit and the crunch so it is different every time.

Greek yogurt is made by straining out the extra whey in regular yogurt. It makes it thicker, creamier and tangier than regular yogurt. Greek yogurt has a bit less sugar, but almost double the protein than regular yogurt.

  • However, Greek yogurt is more expensive than regular yogurt, so choose the kind that works best for you.

Yield: 1 servings


Ingredients

1/2 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavoured, depends on what you like)

1/2 cup of fruit

1/4 cup of cheerios, bran buds, granola, etc.

Optional: 1 tbsp chia seeds


Equipment required

Bowl

Spoon

If slicing fruit:

  • Knife

  • Cutting board

Instructions

1. Slice fruit if needed.

2. Put all ingredients into a bowl. Mix thoroughly.
